- Permeability
- Moisture: Excellent barrier against water vapor loss.
- Gas: Permeable to Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide (O2 & CO2), making it ideal for tissue culture applications.
- Temperature Range
- Operating: Effective from -45°C to +50°C.
- Softening Point: Begins to soften and become sticky at approx. 54°C - 66°C (130°F - 150°F).
- Chemical Resistance (Safe to use with)
- Acids: Hydrochloric Acid (12N), Sulphuric Acid (36N), Nitric Acid (16N).
- Bases: Sodium Hydroxide (22%), Ammonium Hydroxide (28%).
- Solvents: Salt Solutions, Isopropyl Alcohol (99%), Ethyl Alcohol (95%).
- Note: Effective for 24+ hours exposure with no apparent effect.
- ⚠️ Not Recommended For: Chlorinated solvents (e.g., Chloroform), Non-polar aliphatic, and Aromatic solvents.
