Dichloromethane or methylene chloride is a clear colorless nonflammable volatile liquid chlorinated hydrocarbon with a sweet pleasant smell. Dichloromethane is primarily used as a solvent in paint removers degreasing agents in electronics manufacturing and many other industrial uses.
